Sobieski Dystrybucja Sp.Z.o.o., the Polish alcohol and liquor producer has won a public tender for the acquisition of an 82.27 percent stake in JSC Vilniaus Degtine, the Lithuanian producer of strong alcoholic beverages from the Lithuanian government for a total consideration of approximately EUR 6m. The acquisition has received approval from the Lithuanian Competition Council. The acquisition will increase Sobieski’s presence in the Baltic distillery market.

Sobieski Dystrybucja is one of leading Polish producers in strong alcohol and liquor segment, also specialised in marketing, promotion, distribution and logistics of its products as well as French and German grape wines. JSC Vilniaus degtine is one of leading Lithuanian producers of strong alcohol beverages, including vodka, bitters, sweet brandies and liqueurs.

BIC provided financial advisory services to the buyer, jointly with international investment bank.

By this transaction BIC strengthened its position in providing privatisation advisory services the Baltic countries and gained substantial experience in consumer goods sector.
